Q Changes

Are you ready for changes in your life?

I am Daniel Morrison and I want to support you in whatever you’re going through. I believe that everyone has the capacity to change, or to embrace the changes that are happening in their life. Counselling is a space which is just for you, to speak about whatever is present in your life right now and be heard. We can explore your patterns, your stories, what’s working for you and where you’d like things to be different. It’s confidential and I’ll never judge or criticise you. It’s an opportunity to have somebody hear you and accept you just as you are, a place to explore your options without being told what to do.

I am experienced in working with

  • Anxiety

  • Parenting

  • ASD and other neurodiversity

  • Gender diversity

  • LGBTQ+ community

  • Addiction

  • Non-traditional relationships

I am a nonbinary trans man, a writer and parent to my teenagers. My background is in working therapeutically in residential settings with young people who have emotional and behavioural disorders, neurodiversity or a background of trauma and abuse. I now work with adults with a variety of issues and volunteer as a counsellor at the LGBT Foundation, as well as seeing clients in private practice. I’m qualified primarily in person centred counselling although I draw on other therapeutic approaches as needed.

I offer one to one counselling sessions online or by phone. I am not currently offering face to face counselling. Sessions are priced on a sliding scale beginning at £30 per hour for those on a low income, £50 for those on a high income, and £40 for average earners. I believe therapy should be accessible for everyone, so if cost is a barrier for you then please get in touch. Those who are able to pay the higher rate are contributing to a fund for those not able to afford therapy. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly depending on availability and need.

During the current crisis I am offering reduced rate sessions for front line NHS workers - please get in touch for details.

Seeking support can be a big decision, and the key to effective therapy is finding a therapist you feel comfortable with. The relationship between the client and the therapist is more important than any other factor in determining how useful therapy is. I offer a free 30 minute meeting or call before sessions begin, so we can get to know each other and decide if we want to work together without any cost or commitment. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and work to their Ethical Framework.
